i was originally with sky broadband but it was very slow and would of stayed with them if they had fibre in our area but they hadnt at the time, so i took the plunge and decided to choose TALKTALK to get faster speeds, My go live date was the 4th of august, after 5 days of waiting for our line to be connected by an engineer after tweaking our line outside in them 5 days i was using a mobile router luckily to connect my kids to the net for a short time while waiting,, anyway after the engineer visit we were finally connected and i thought the nightmare was over and i could finally settle and enjoy the new fibre for the first time,
after 15 mins of using the new hg633 router our connection started to drop every few mins from then on our connection has dropped constantly all day, i look at the lights on the router and there is no red lights, they all stayed green, but i would have a 6 year old screaming every time it happened, so i contacted talktalk, which tried different things but it felt like i was going round in circles, so i was back to square one, i have been on live chat number of times i was on there for over an hour with them but got no where, i have tried all the trouble shooting i have tried moving things closer to the router, i tried changing wireless channels moving my dsl to the master socket, dissconncting some devices, i even went out and purchased powerline adapters, my son now has a Wii u console which has resulted me in plugging a Ethernet extension cable to his console to stop his connection dropping, but i am still left with laptops and tablets dropping and even a pc upstairs and a XBOXLIVE with a autistic son who gets very annoyed every time it drops on him, i am getting very fed-up now because it can drop 3 times within 30mins, if it doesn’t stop i am leaving talktalk but i am worried about what the leaving fee will be, which is ridiculous because for a service which as been so poor from day one i am going out of my mind, i feel at a loss because every time my children cry because they lose connection i don’t know what other solution i can give them all i can say is please wait and i will see what i can do, its harder explaining to an autistic son who doesn’t understand what’s happening talktalk you have to do something, i cant stand it much longer, i have tried everything
