I signed up for talktalk fibre broad band and received an E-mail with the following info:

Minimum Guaranteed speed
40Mb
Download speed
39Mb to 40Mb
Upload speed
2Mb
At first I was getting a speed of 37Mbps which I was happy with. Since Tuesday 8th November 2016 my speed has dropped down to 26Mbps. I have not made any changes to the set up or devices on my network. I have worked my way through the trouble shooting guide but there has been no improvement.
I have been informed that all line performance is monitored and managed by the Dynamic Line Management system (DLM). If DLM thinks it is seeing problems on the line (noise) it will slow the line down to compensate.
Has the DLM reduced my line speed?
Could someone please clarify what has happened to my line speed?
