New Fibre broadband, inconsistent speeds

Hi there,

I have had fibre for about 6 weeks.  Over the last few weeks I have noticed speeds becoming more and more erratic.

I get about 6-8Mbps download and 1Mbps upload (fine for where I live), but I have been getting as low as 70Kbps down and 40Kbps up.  I've been running speed tests every 30 minutes over the last 10 days - hopefully the last few days worth of data is attached.  Neighbours are on BT and seem to have good service when mine was unusable.

Been on the phone to TT tech support multiple times.  Firmware upgrade, line tests, etc, etc.  Thursday 1st Dec they sent an Openreach engineer out.  Line was in good shape.  We tested turning the router off for a bit (download speeds were ok but upload was low).  The upload speeds jumped on restart. Friday again the speed was poor in the evening, a reset seemed to put in a temporary fix.  Router stats look normal.

In the run-up to the engineer coming the line seemed to have stabilised a bit (though still poor at times - usually when I wanted to use it in the mornings and evenings).  Strange the speeds seemed to increase a bit post Openreach visit.

It seems to have gone back to its previous state today.  Quiet line test was performed and was ok.  The service is pretty much unusable.

As this is starting to drag on, can someone let me know what the issue is and what is being done to fix it (I'd like to know specifics not just that is is fixed - if it does get sorted)?  Is it the router, or as the line seems ok - down to the ISP exchange equipment (Openreach mentioned something about the 'virtual pipe').

Thanks.
