Please can someone help me. Originally my fibre broadband was supposed to go live last Tuesday the 6th Dec. I waited until midnight nothing had happened. Phoned TalkTalk on the 7th Dec, apparently the BT Openreach engineer had a problem with our cabinet and that we would need to wait 48hrs for them to try again. On Friday 9th December, we were called to be told that our fibre would be live today. I came home found that our old ADSL router was no longer connecting. Connected the new TalkTalk HG633 router. The Broadband light came up Green but the internet light was Red. I logged in to the router the VDSL status says "Showtime", has around 37meg download and 2meg upload. Wan IP listed as "None". Phoned TT support was told that there was a problem on our line and this would require a BT OpenReach engineer. Tuesday 13th Dec, the BT Openreach engineer attended site. Connected his equipment to our master socket. Could not find any problems with the local connection to the the cabinet or the local exchange. Came to the conclusion after attending the site and local exchange that there were no problem on the BT Openreach part of the network. The engineer said that our "Fibre Connection would have to be rebuilt" on the TalkTalk part of the line. BT Openreach engineer called TalkTalk to tell them. Talktalk said that they would add our line to the queue to be built and this should be done by the end of the day. I have since called TalkTalk customer services, whom have no record of this conversation between the BT Openreach engineer or your networks team.
Please can someone tell me what is going on? And when we might get our Fibre Broadband Connected?
Thanks, Martin
