Go Live date 1 week ago but still no internet connection.

Please help!

We moved house last week and had our broadband installed then.  Engineer spent 3 hours at our property and left without even plugging the router in to check it!  We followed the instructions to connect it all together and got all green lights except for the internet light which has been red ever since.  We've tried restarting it, resetting it, talking to an engineer on the phone (very costly phonecall with a 20min on-hold wait!) and endless conversations on help chat (also with ridiculous wait times)

 

We're at our wits end and may just have to cancel but fear that'll be a nightmare too.

 

Our first payment has been taken also, and we're angry about paying for a service that we haven't received.

 

Can anyone offer any advise??
