My fibre connection was activated at midday on Friday and I connected the new router that night when I got home from work. The connection has been perfectly stable since then but there has been no increase in speed from my previous broadband connection. The TalkTalk speed test is currently sitting at just under 7MB which is far short of the guaranteed minimum of 25MB. Does anyone know when can I reasonably expect to see an increase? Will I just have to sit tight until the 10 day breaking-in period is over, or am I just unlucky to have been activated on a Friday and there's no staff over the weekend to adjust speeds? Edit: As pointed out by Ferguson, I logged onto my router and discovered that my connection is still ADSL2+ despite the email I was sent that said fibre has been activated. Any help from an OCE would be greatly appreciated! Image may be NSFW.
