v1.21t Firmware stopping home network tv/media boxes etc transfering data to and from the router/computer/media boxes (FTP) ?
First of all I am connected to everything by ethernet, when I say everything I mean the router to the computer and the media box downstairs too, although the one upstairs is wireless which seldom even gets switched on anyway, so thats kind of irrelevant that one.
By the way, I was always previously on version 1.15t and they auto updated to firmwares I didnt ask for few times and I had to get them (TT) to roll it back again, same old story.
Now, I could be wrong but I doubt it very very much, since they (TT) updated it to v1.21t Firmware approx 17 days ago I now can't FTP to my home network boxes (FTP means - File Transfer Protocol) from my main computer to the boxes, the boxes just wont connect for me to FTP stuff to or from them, simple as that, I cant put it anymore straight or simple than that.
I need these devices working 24 hours a day, so this is BAD !
They (TT) have yet again forced version v1.21t onto my 633 superouter over the past couple of weeks without me asking for it and I didn't notice it until recently noticing these problems I describe, I started to notice big time problems with other things the other day when I checked what was going on and the only thing that has changed at my end is Talktalks firmware change at their end, nothing else on my side at all.
BUT, would the 1.21t firmware cause this ? Thats the question I guess.
If so and it is a common thing with the 1.21t firmware, then please just instantly return me to version 1.15t like I have always been on.
Its a shame though as actually apart from this if the 1.21 is causing this problem, its a pity as for once I was getting Pings that were very good and about 50% better than on 1.15t firmware, plus the speeds were pretty much the same with both firmwares for a change (very slightly lower speeds on 1.21 though).
However, as I said, if the 1.21t firmware is commonly known to cause these type of problems as described then please Instantly return me to version 1.15t today, thank you.
Please do not ask me to start entering into the internal interface router settings to change the setting that stops TT from updating the firmware, I am disabled and I can't even bend down to where the router is, so unless you wish to send me out a superouter with version 1.15t loaded and the option set inside to stop any TalkTalk updates then thats the only way I can do it, I cant do it any other way and I have no one to help me with such things, and of course if that happens then as its your fault I would expect it fully free of charge too.
