For the past 2 months I have had bad wifi drops on my HG633. I use WiFi analyser apps and also I am qualified as an IT Technician so the wifi is the best T place and best channels and no interference at all on 5ghz and I'm aware of the 2ghz interference but I'm on the clearest channel.
I point this out first as 99% time my complaints lead to "change the channel" "eyes moving it off the floor or to another lcoation" etc.. Etc... I spent 3 weeks placing the router in best place including buying a longer cable to get it on a shelf so please don't suggest that.
I recently complained on Twitter that my WiFi keeps dropping every few mins for past 2 months and wondering if faulty router... Someone changed the firmware to V1.16 (no idea what it was before) and even though wifi no longer drops.. The signal range is a lot less.
I used to get -76dbm but now it's -89dbm in the bedroom. I used to get - 85dmb in bathroom but now no signal at all.
In addition the wifi seems 10-15mbps slower even though still no interference or changes at all for over 8 months but for the past 2 months I've been having issues.. And even though changing firmware to 1.16 has fixed the wifi dropping.. The transmission power has weakened that it can't reach my bathroom or the wifi repeater anymore.
Please can someone look into it and what firmware I used to be on.. And update it to the most stable
