Issues with router

I have a problem whereabouts my wifi signal is weak or non existent. I have changed the all the wifi channels and moved the router round the house as instructed by the talktalk technical team. I was standing next to the modem yesterday and could only get one bar signal and the download speed was appalling. This is not right and needs sorting it's been like this for months now!

 

Personally I think the service I have been receiving is appalling! I have told them multiple times about my problems, been subjected to the same troubleshooting guides over and over again. I would say in total I have been on hold for over 2 hours be that on online chat or phone. The technical teams seem to say the same thing that they have changed settings and the problems should now be resolved but they never are. It is obvious that my router is at the cause of the problems, but they always refuse to send me a new one! I can honestly say I'm on my last tether!
