Hi, I am a new member here.
I have been having trouble since this morning. My router is the Huawei HG635 Super Router. All my devices connect to the network fine but can not access the internet. The lights on the router seem to be fairly normal (wireless and internet flashing green, everything else constant green).
When i login to the router it says there are no issues but when i try and open a webpage is says resolving host and nothing else. I don't really know too much about networking but presumably that is some sort of DNS error. I have tried setting a few manual DNS settings (TT and Google) neither are resolving the issue. I have also tried to ping www.google.com and it could not find it. I pinged 8.8.8.8 and request timed out, 75% packet loss 1st time and 100% packet loss 2nd time.
I think I'm going to have to call in the morning, my friend thinks it could be the router. Can anybody help me with this matter or do i have to make the dreaded phone call?
Also my phone line isn't noisy and dial tones are fine.
Thanks.
