Fibre with new HG633 not connecting or slow

In early December 2016 I renewed my contract and was sent a new router (the Huawei Super Router HG633) .

The new router arrived on 15 Dec and from that day until today I have had almost non-stop problems, with either no internet or very slow, inconsistent internet connection.

I have made 8 phone calls to TalkTalk support, and 1 long chat conversation (in which I was told that everthing I had been told by the phone support was incorrect!) and still no solution.

 

If I use my previous router (the combined Huawei EchoLife HG612 white “BT Openreach” box and D-Link DSL-3780 Broadband Wireless Router) then the connection works (but the wifi is flaky).

On 21 Dec I was sent a replacement HG633. This worked until midday on 22nd!

 

I was then told to remove the front of my master socket and connect a new Microfilter directly to the test socket This worked for approx 24 hours, then had same problem.

 

What is even more annoying is each time I call, the support staff keep saying "I guarantee you we will fix it this time" and yet they never do!

 

On 19 Jan, I was told "This is the reference number - INC000014635628 You will get an update within 24 hours"

But it is now 2 days later and no update!
