I'm currently on the Standard TT Fiber at 40/2. Whilst I could upgrade to 'large' 80/20 at a cost of £5 /month, I don't really need the additional download speed.
What I would like is additional upload speed. The current OpenReach Offerings (as of Jan 2016)
Openreach product Monthly wholesale cost (ex. VAT)
GEA-FTTC and GEA-FTTP 40/2 | £6.90 |
GEA-FTTC and GEA-FTTP 40/10 | £7.40 |
GEA-FTTC and GEA-FTTP 55/10 | £8.40 |
GEA-FTTC and GEA-FTTP 80/20 | £9.95 |
Currently TalkTalk offer 40/2 and 80/20. I would like either 40/10 or 55/10 (wholesale cost difference 50p / £1.50)
and I would GLADLY pay an additional £1 or £2 to get one or the other.
As this is essentially a 'capped' service, there is no real difference in technology, it's just a software option.
will be looking for a new ISP in April 2016 when I'm out of contract and top of my list is at least 40/10 speeds. If TT won't offer that, then I will be leaving.
So...TT, can you inform us as to whether this is something you are going to offer us customers?
