Hi,
I have had medium fibre for a few months and found it to be really good and very stable. I contacted the sales team a couple of weeks ago about upgrading to the large fibre. My line at the time said it was capable of a maximum 67MB download rate, which was more appealing than the 40MB of the medium fibre I had been getting.
They gave me a date of the 15th of December for the BT engineer to switch it over at the exchange and warned me it would go off from about 30 minutes. I waited on the 15th but received no disconnects, the router stated it had been connected for the last 23 days. After reading the forums I turned the router off for an hour and connected back to find the same speeds.
I decided to turn it off for the night on the 18th and connected back today on the 19th. The speeds are still the same and have not changed, except the maximum download speed has dropped to 56MB. See attached picture for router stats.
Can you please find out what has happened because from my point of view nothing has happened. I am still getting a great service with medium fibre, which may be limited to 40MB because of my distance from the exchange at Cudworth.
Thanks
Andy.
