I am using the HG635 Super router and am trying to enable a static IPv4 Ip Address, so that I don't have to change the address for things every once in a while. When I set ' IPv4 addressing type: ' (in the 'internet connection' page on the router config) from DCHP to Static and change the settings to what the super router page was reporting it was using with DCHP (Network mask, Gateway, DNS server, and the same WAN IP I want to use), my network loses internet access. The network functions fine, but cannot ping / open any webpages. I've tried changing the network mask from 255.255.224.0 (the static default, and the one it uses with DCHP), to 255.255.255.0, but that doesn't help. I've tried the same thing with the default gateway, changing it from 79.76.192.1, to 192.168.1.1, but that doesn't seem to help either. Tried setting the DNS to Google's dns server, again no differnce.
Thoughts? Cheers in advance!
