I work quite a lot from home and I struggle to access some of the windows shared folders at work. Sometimes it doesnt work and then other times it does, it can be really random. I have tried various scenarios (including using my personal hotspot on my phone) and everything is fine apart from when I use my TalkTalk connection. I have read of other people having similar issues with these routers and VPN connections to work. The VPN client is Cisco AnyConnect running on a Windows 7 machine.
My router is a HG635 running firmware v1.06t. Im pretty sure there is a newer firmware version and was wondering if this would fix the problem. If not, will a router replcement sort it or is it something at TalkTalk end which would mean that I may need to look at an alternative broadband supplier (my contract will soon be up anyhow)?
If anyone has any thoughts on the above please let me know?
