Happy New Year everyone...
So, I wondered whether an Op could either givem e a helping hand, or answer a quck question for me. For a short while now I've been a fibre user and eventually managed to receive a fairly decent and consisten speed of around 24mbps. Beleive me, it took a bit of fighting and back-and-forth, then an eventual decision to leave TalkTalk before anything significant was done to get me that speed (which was the estimated advertised speed to begin with).
OK, so it turns out that my next door neighbour is a fibre customer with BT. We use the same cabinet, lines, etc...yet he is seeing a consistent spedd of around 34mbps. So, I have to ask a couple of questions:
1) Is my speed something that can be 'tweaked' to receive the 34mbps that my next door neighbour is receiving as standard, again, on the same cabinet, etc that I'm on, or...
2) Is the TalkTalk tech not as up to scratch with BT's? If this is the case, I wonder whether I would simply get a better service with BT, than I'm getting currently.
Thanks
