We moved to talktalk a few months ago, upgrading to fibre from our previous suppliers standard broadband. Nothing was mentioned about phone socket, just received router in the post to setup ourselves. Since then we spoke to a rep as the service was slow, slower than we were previously getting. We were told to keep the router on and they would adjust speed. Since then there has been no improvement and we keep being disconnected, even when devices are next to the router, causing us to turn router off and on to reset. I have been checking the phone sockets and both appear to be standard sockets, with no faceplate. On searching for help I see references to an NTE5(?) socket? Or a fibre socket? Is this what we need to resolve the issue? If so is this not something that should have been discussed when ordering fibre? Any help much appreciated as feeling confused, frustrated and disappointed by the lack of service we have received since moving to talktalk, who are currently failing to meet their contract with us that we are paying for. Thanks
