Okay, my TalkTalk legacy service has never given me a moment of worry other than the unimpressive speed. So, I got really excited when a brand new DSLAM was installed at the top of our road. Even more excited when neighbours started getting flyers through the post from BT and Sky regarding fibre availability. However, TalkTalk still insists the service is not available nearly two months later. The OpenReach checker says I should be able to fill my boots with fibre and FTTC is now fully available and it even points back to TalkTalk's web site as a provider of fibre services. TalkTalk say it is not available, even contacting them through their web site still gives me no joy, the agents on-line insist it is not available too. Meanwhile my neighbours are starting to enjoy their 30Mbps+ connectivity with other providers!
Is there a delay in TalkTalk getting their FTTC equipment installed in DSLAMs? Or could it have been overlooked? The current service is TalkTalk LLU. Why won't TalkTalk give some idea regarding availability timing? Murphy's law states that if I switch to Sky then next month TalkTalk will get their act together
Is a little more patience required or am I banging my head against a wall?
Thanks in advance,
Martin.
