Good morning, firstly let me start by saying that the Service centre and fault reporting pages on the website do not work.
Basically we bought a HG633 super router approx 4 months ago. Since day one the wireless was dropping conection to all connected devices every couple of mins. I logged into the router and ran diagnostics. Trace route and ping seem okay but there are some 100,000 errors and packet losses for both 5ghz and 2ghz frequencies on the wireless. The devices are pretty much in arms reach of the router and are still loosing connection.
However, for almost 2 weeks now, the internet and tv connection have become seriously terrible. Our Computers webpages and games constantly Freeze. The Youview televion now regularly freezes every 15 mins, sometimes there is a Broadband connection error. I have recently notices a botched firmware update was released and I believe it has made our router issue even worse.
• The router is plugged into the master socket
• It is the only socket in the house
• Has been faulty since day one
I have tried everything possible including the usual Switch off reset methods, I have tried to reset the router factory umpteen times and still these problems are getting worse.
We paid £80 for this router and our internet and tv has been absoultey terrible, the older router and bt router combo was far better but sadly we no longer have them to test.
Can someone please look into this urgently as I believe I need a replacement router. I also believe talktalk should look into a better router manufacturer.
Thanks
Tez
