Fibre broadband

I recently upgraded when I received an email from talktalk saying they could suply me with fibre at an estimated speed of between 7 and 11 meg.

I jumped at the oportunity  as I was only getting 2 meg on ordinary broadband and at a distance of 4 miles from my exchange and 2 miles from the cabinet it seemed toogood to be true.

The engineer arrived and said yes the connection was good enough. On speed test I got 6 meg which was a quite good initial test. However over the next few days the speed dropped to just under 3 meg

Over the next 3 weeks, and a few calls to technical help, the speed has improved to just under 7 meg which I think is very good considering the distance.

All my communications  with talktalk have been dealt with very quickly and professionally.A lot better than another big telecom company whom I had to contact for another property.With them I had to queue for at least half an hour each time and then got passed from one department to another. I also got cut off at least four times while queuing.
