Red Internet light

Hi,

 

My internet suddenly stopped working on Wednesday. internet light on HG633 went a constant red. Broadband light still green. Tried turning off and on again with no change. Phone working fine. 

 

Made multiple calls to talk talk call centre. As per advice, router was first turned off for over 30 minutes and then reset with the button at the back.

 

The guy at the call centre said the router was broken and arranged for a new one to be sent out. The new router arrived today, but still the internet light on this is red.

 

After two more long calls tonight, the new router was unplugged again and reset but still the Internet light is red. The lady at the call centre is escalating it to the network team, but I won't hear anything for up to 72 hours. I've read elsewhere on the community that someone with a similar problem had to wait until a BT engineer could be arranged before it was solved.

 

My wife needs the Internet for work and it looks like things won't change until someone actually comes out to my house. Could someone from talk talk contact me about this? Thanks.
