OK, I had previous issues with dropped connections over wireless. They sent a new router and all was good for a few days and problems started again. I am getting drop-outs over wifi, and at times the www was completely unresponsive - I have improved (but not solved) this by changing the DNS.
I had constant isues with connections to streaming services of late.
1. Sky on demand connects fine to the router and on set-up will work fine with on demand. After a few moments the connection to on demand will fail, but the router connection will remain.
I tried to solve this by investing in a set of powerline adapters to connect by ethernet. That was £65 wasted!
2. Gaming by wireless or ethernet drops connection frequently as does streaming video to the computer.
3. Streaming to a Roku is initially fine, but will drop after a short time. This can only be resolved by completely resetting the internet settings on the device.
So right now I am paying for a service I can not use and have even spent more money on trying to work-around the problem.
To say I am not happy is an understatement. Moving to TalkTalk was clearly a big mistake.
