Hi,
I have a HG633 h/w vers H.1.01 s/w v1.21t router that is currently refusing to pass VPN traffic since 20th Dec (or 21st Dec - I was in the office yesterday so did not use). I am using Shrewsoft VPN to connect to a far side Cisco Firewall from a laptop running Windows 10. I have used the Shrewsoft client since 2015 and the same pcf.vpn config file. I have wifi and internet access with around 46mb download and 17mb upload averages.
Troubleshooting:
- Rebooted router and retested - no difference
- Engaged Network engineer to check far-side logs at remote firewall - my public IP was not found in any VPN tunnel comms or initiation. I was able to browse public urls that reference the firewall IP address - but unable to get a VPN connection
- Uninstalled Shrew VPN client, rebooted laptop and reinstalled - still no VPN connection
- Teethered laptop with 4G phone and successfully connected - no issues VPN working fine
- Powered up TP- LINK 4G device and connected on this Wifi service - VPN working fine
- Checked router settings: Internet / Port Forwarding / ALG: PPTP/H.323/RTSP/SIP all enabled (no changes have been made by me)
My troubleshooting has isolated this issue to an ISP/Router issue that has occured since Dec 20th 2016. Unfortunately Talk Talk Tech support on the phone just refered me to the community forum.
Please HELP. I have lost 4 hours today and some imps have been delayed due to my connectivity issues. I have paid for a 10GB EE bundble for my mobile TP-LINK 4G device at £30 as a workaround.
