I spoke today with the loyalty team on the phone in the billing dept and struck a new deal for the next 24 months. (it was Tanya I spoke to she said her name was, I guess she sounded indian to me which has nothing to do with it but I am just saying for reference sake of it).
I currently have Medium Fiber 40MB speed (I clearly explained that to her and she understood that clearly she said) and I also currrently have the Unlimited UK Call Boost which I also explained to her and she clearly understood that too she said.
The deal that was agreed on was/is for me to upgrade from my current Medium Fiber 40MB speed to the Faster Fiber Broadband boost 80MB speed.
As far as I am aware Tanya said the new package is called the Faster Fiber Boost 80MB Package.
:It is a 24 Month Contract
:Line Rental Fully Included in the total monthly price
:Faster Fiber Broadband boost 80MB (+£x.00) (not sure what normal price would be for that ?).
:Unlimited UK Call Boost (+£x.xx) [normally £7.50]
:HD TV Box (Free of Charge Inc delivery etc) [which she said I can use it if I want to or not]
The total price settled on was/is £xx.00 per month.
I edited out the prices for now as I wanted to see what other people thought would be either the average, normal or a Very good price for this deal please, but I will say the price and prices once I get some responses hopefully thanks please ?
P.s, afterwards I spoke in online web chat to the talktalk staff too, I spoke to one that seemed to be pretty correcty and he passed me onto this other person that didn't seem to have a clue.
I saved the full .pdf document of the chat anyway, I dont know how to post or if I cant post pdf documents on here though, I am rather stressed with all this.
P.P.S, when will my Faster Fiber Boost 80MB broadband speed start and the rest of the Package come into effect too ? Tanya said within hours usually the Internet speed will go up but one of these other clueless guys on the Internet web chat said 5-7 days and once I said WHAT ? I ALREADY HAVE 40MB FIBRE RIGHT ETC, he said sorry, maybe things have changed then, If he turns out to be correct then this company really does suck BIG TIME if it takes a week just to press a button to switch someone from 40MB fibre to 80MB when I already have the super router and everything, sheeesh, ready to go crazy here man , will my new 80MB speed start after after 12 midnight in less than an hour or what as Tanya said ?? and will I need to restart the router please ?
