MAJOR FIBER SPEED ISSUES, F.A.O STAFF ONLY PLEASE FOR NOW THANKS A.S.A.P.

ALL CONNECTED BY ETHERNET TO ROUTER, ONLY DEVICE CONNECTED THIS

ONE COMPUTER.

signed up for a new 24 month contract early yesterday Thursday 5th Jan 2017.

It included a step up from what I had which was a pretty good solid decent speed 38MB Medium Fiber broadband connection, I got them to upgrade my broadband to the (up to) "Faster Fibre Broadband Boost (76MB-80MB) speed)".

The lady I spoke to on the phone called Tanya (I have all the notes by the way), said that she couldn't guarantee a speed of 80 but she did say and I quote her words if you would like to listen to her call (it was approx between 7-8pm the call), "SHE SAID SHE COULD AND CAN EASILY GUARANTEE THE 76MB SPEED THOUGH", this made me very happy to hear that indeed as I already had the current medium fiber speed I was on which gave me speeds a shade under the promised 38MB, so I really could not see any problem getting the GUARANTEED 76MB or a shade less, how wrong was I though Smiley Sad

The 76MB Fiber broadband went Live tonight after 12 midnight 5th Jan going into the 6th Jan which is today now obviously.

Well Well Well, what a HUGE disappointment it is and there has to be something wrong, I am now going to do some speed tests from the closest servers and from a few random other servers in the UK for you to see for yourself.

This is ridiculous, I live literally about 30-40 meters away from the BT openreach Fiber cabinet that serves me and I should in theory be getting the top speeds, something is well wrong !!!

Since I joined about one year ago and on the Fiber Medium 38MB-40MB package I constantly got on average about the promised or very close to the promised 38MB speed which was good and fine, I can accept that, BUT the ping was always garbage though 90% of the time.

But to be guaranteed early yesterday on the phone with Tanya the woman who put this package through for me and promised the moon so to speak plus all the various other speed tests I done from lots of test sites (reliable ones) just to double and treble check etc I would defo get on average bang on or VERY close to 76-80MB, I checked all this before I even thought about getting the upgrade, the tests all said that I would get somewhere between 76MB and 80MB ! ALL OF THEM !, and I fully understand that its speeds "up to" that they quote, but even the lady on the phone last night said to me straight out, I cannot guarantee you 80MB but I definitely can guarantee you 76MB no problem at all.

So if she is lying and this is all false and nothing can be done I want my whole package instantly returned back to the 38MB medium fiber that I had as I was getting excellent speeds as I said, I will then just pay my value line rental and continue as I was and thats that, I still feel that something is wrong though, there has to be surely when I live just like 30 yards from the street cabinet that I am connected to.

Can any member of staff please help out here a.s.a.p please as I have had enough stress for one day and now all this too, not happy at all Smiley Sad

p.s, remember, you guys can always listen into the phonecall, I assume they are recorded or they should be, but either way, I had my phone on loud speaker and two people along with me listend into the call, so I have all the proof I need including the depressing images of the speeds I showed you too.
