So, I'm on my way to Talk Talk. The usual problem of new customers getting all the good deals and BT were suddenly charging me around £15/month more than I can get the same service (on paper) from Talk Talk.
My question here is should I see similar speeds/latency etc on my new Talk Talk connection as I have been seeing on my BT one?
I'm on a 74/20 service from BT and I am seeing a real-world connection of 71/17 - I live quite close to the exchange and all my internal wiring has been checked etc.
I've just got off the phone to BT (who made one final attempt to keep me - still £10 more per month than TT) and they really didn't want me to go - telling me all about their excellent service, their infrastructure, the infrastructure I was moving to etc.
When I said I was still going the BT chap actually got quite rude....
Anyway. If I'm seeing 71/17 on my current BT Infinity 2 connection, should I see similar on my Fibre Large package from Talk Talk?
My go live date is 8th December and when that happens I'm tied into TT for 18 months. I guess, as with all things, don't want to make any mistakes here.
I'm on about service only - Customer service is much of a muchness whereever you're a customer!
Anyone else move from BT to TT? How did your connection speeds relate?
