Hi there, when we first moved into our new home and started our new fiber optic package we were getting good speeds with excellent ping in online gaming, however, in the past couple of months the internet speeds have been slowing down to the point where our speeds are now on par with the unlimited broadband package we had before from Talk talk, obviously this is frustrating when muiltple users are using the internet and it just cant cope any more. Our current speeds using speedtest.net show me that our download is averaging out around 8.39 Mbps down and 0.43 Mbps up. These speeds however can fluctuate randomly going as low as 1Mbps up with ping in the rank of 1000+ms. A far cry from what our estimated speeds of 39-40 Mbps up.
Quite recently whilst on the phone to the talk talk customer line regarding this issue, the man I was speaking to odered us a new router as he beleived the issue was with the old one, this however has not solved any problems with the connection, leading me to beleive it has something to do with the line
If anyone would be able to give advice or help it would be greatly appriciated as the problem has gone on too long
