Hi there,
I have recently taken out a line and fibre broadband on the large up to 76 meg package.
I have had this installed by the OR engineer 08.12.15.
Now when he left the sync speed was 33 meg, I have since phoned in to report that this is unacceptable due to the fact i am on the up to 76 meg package with estimated speeds of up to 60 odd meg.
Now after my phone calls with the less than helpful "technical helpdesk" I requested to speak to a manager who reported the fault to your suppliers. This has since come back as no fault found and that it is a throughput issue.
Just to clear a few things up I work in complaints myself and have a vast knowledge of technical support for this industry.
So I am looking for some advice on this hopefully from someone within talk talk that is going to be able to help...
It is IMPOSSIBLE to be a throughput issue when I am only syncing at 33 meg...
I keep getting told that my speeds are within acceptable limits... well when you have an up to 76meg package and an up to 38 meg package... i am getting 33 meg on the higher package, is this acceptable? no?
I believe the reason that I am not achieving the predicted speeds is that my fibre is being delivered over aluminium as opposed to copper... so it needs some investigation to see if there is a spare pair that I can be switched to get the advised speeds...
Could someone help with this as I do not need to do any checks within my property or be told again that it's within acceptable limits or that it's a throughput issue when none of this is correct.
Thanks in advance
