Why Two Networks?

I recently upgraded to Fibre Large- which is meant to be up to 80MB, but I get speeds pretty consistently of around 38MB. TalkTalk tell me they have "tested the line" and there's no problem".

Just wondering if this could be something to do with the way the router is set up. I'm using the TalkTalk router that was sent to me and haven't changed any settings except to rename the Wireless network and set a new password. The label on the router says it's a HUAWEI dlna certified model HG633- also says "2.4GHz & 5GHz Concurrent", might mean something to readers.

All the connected devices in our house can see TWO wireless networks- does that sound right??? One is called "Ashbrooke" (the name I gave the network), the other "Ashbrooke2". But I didn't "create one called "Ashbrooke2". We can make computers connect to whichever we select.

So, could the incoming 80MB connection be getting split into two of 40MB?

If so, is it a good idea to run 2 networks, or is it better to have just one. And how do I get rid of one so the remaining one doubles its bandwidth?

Hopefully someone will understand what I'm on about!
