This is admittedly a rather sprawling house. But the range of the TalkTalk A0C359 network router supplied with my superfast broadband is very short. Here in the office I have 2 computers (one with Windows 7, one with Windows 10) which connect perfectly. Any further away, however (which includes living room and all bedrooms), attempting to connect produces 2 different results:
1) Computer show the network available, and at good strength, but all attempts at connection fail. This is with a PC running Windows 7 and exactly the same USB adapter as in the office.
2) with a laptop (ubuntu) or a Samsung tablet, no connection is possible except from next to the router. However, once the connection is established, the laptop/tablet can be moved away and remains connected.
