My router has reconnected at 80Mbps but my test speed is locked at 39Mbps.

Who do I need talk to to get the throttle removed?

DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_BAD_CONFIG

I am receiving this error:

DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_BAD_CONFIG

on multiple devices when using the internet (TalkTalk Wifi Hub) and only a reboot of the router will resolve the issue. I'm assuming it is a router issue due to the error appearing on multiple devices and the reboot is resolving it.

The issue started about a month ago and once the router is rebooted the issue reappears roughly a week after the reboot. No recent changes have been made to the router settings and have no previous issues like this with our internet. We've had the same wifi hub provided by TalkTalk for over 2 years.

Please can you advise whether there is a solution for the issue or if there has been a recent firmware update to the talktalk wifi hub that could be causing the issue?

No service since 16th 4pm Router flashing orange/white

My internet randomly cut off at around 4pm yesterday and the router is flashing orange and white constantly.

I've restarted the router and reset it a few times, tried connecting directly with ethernet, the service centre says "I've gone offline" but that there are no issues with the service. It seems like an outage for my area?
I've had no issues till yesterday when the internet just dropped off and has yet to come back. Devices connect to the router but have no internet, they say "Connected, no internet"

Any help would be greatly appreciated as I work remotely at the moment and i'm stuck using my data for mobile wifi.

Got TWO TalkTalk accouts and Router keeps disconnecting some devices!

Hello

I moved with you about a month or so ago and I moved TWO separate accounts - work and home.

I keep seeing some devices disconnecting [Wi-Fi] for no reason at all.
They are not far at all and on both places device is NOT the same!

Since you offered these modem Free, I am now thinking - did you send both faulty routers or just wanted to get rid of them or is it just the whole service that bad?

I am already wishing to go back where I was!

Believe me, all is fine on MY side - devices all work fine here - the move was only to save money and in ONE case top get faster Fibre at about same cost.

It is 'not' finished.

On 'both' we also now get lagging on connectivity - i.e. it still is connected to Wi-Fi, but not internet or bad internet!

Strangely enough this is 'after' I Opted Out from your 'Forced' Error page!

Are you deliberately giving more bandwidth to other IPS ? i.e. 79.79.79.79 and 80 [if I remember IPs well] ?

On top of my work I now have this hassle every day!

Yes, you are sorry - that does not help at all.

Now I will get the usual - do this do that - which will not solve anything ... you know the usual nonsense.

Speed to Device

Morning Folks

I recently upgraded to Fibre65 and am currnetly getting 70mb to the router and only 35 to a desktop PC that is connected via ethernet. Laptops are also getting 35mb over wifi. I have tried all the advice on the quick help section to no avail. Been with Talk talk about 4 years, so router is that old.

Can anyone suggest if I am missing anything please.

Have Fibre150 and would like more

Openreach came today and upgraded my 58Mb/s line to Fibre150 and when I run speed checks get 130-150Mb/s down and 29Mb/s up. This is great.

The Openreach engineer said my wiring will support 450Mb/s down and 77Mb/s up. Is there a 'boost' or 'upgrade' that I can get that will enable me to get even faster than I am getting at the moment.

I have explored myaccount and can't find anything useful. The Openreach engineer said he believed TalkTalk offered a boost to 300Mb/s and 60Mb/s.

Thanks,

Andrew

I’ve just had an email from talk talk claiming I want to leave them when I don’t? How do I cancel that as I can’t call due to not having calling minutes 👀

Blocked by my isp?

Ok so for some reason i cannot access any "adult" website or material. Connection is reset on every attempt by all browsers, filters cannot be changed, what have you done?

Hmm 20 minutes after i post i can once again access adult sites and material along with safe search settings, and all seems good now.

What the hell was that?

Prepaid mastercard reward

I ordered fibre65 on the 30th November and the service went live on the 15th. When ordering through the talktalk website it showed a £50 prepaid Mastercard included, however nothing else regarding it has been said. I don't know how long to expect it to arrive, how it will arrive or anything. Could someone explain it to me please?

Many thanks

Is consuming your download speed

Hi, I’m hoping someone can help, I’ve been with talktalk for years and never had this problem, I can’t load facebook, Snapchat, Twitter and when I’ve checked my account it states 2 devices “

Is consuming your download speed

Your broadband download speed is being over used by this device

This can cause internet speed problems to your other devices”

is there a way to fix this? The device is not being used any different.

Network connector not working

My TV was having issues connecting to the wifi, two rooms away from the router. Laptops and phones have no issue connecting in the same room, so I purchased a network connector over a wifi extender as I really only needed it for the TV.

I have connected the devices but the one not connected to the wifi router is constantly flashing red. I tried moving them close together (plugged in next to each other) as suggested in the leaflet, but the red light continued flashing.

I don't live in a big flat so I don't know why the connectors aren't working. Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you

Problems at the local exchange - A moan about Openreach

Heya,

We've got problems at the local exchange - broadband drops out for all, no matter the provider - talktalk, sky etc. 3rd time in 3 weeks currently and awaiting Openreach to attempt to fix again.

Perhaps one for the TalkTalk staff - is there any way we can ask Openreach to fix the problem rather than treat the symptoms?

fibre broadband speed and reliability

my fibre broadband speed was promised at 30mb, but i had used cable to test from the router but still only 20.9 was received speed. Its also keep dropping off, 3 to 4 times a day, sometime more. This has been going on for months, only for talk talk to test it and said no problem. They sendd openreach engineer yesterday and the engineer said to me the problem is with the main switch he was trying to repair, but still not good. I think i have the right to switch supplier without being ask to pay for early termination fee. Anybody have the same problem? How do i get in touch with talk talk? no live chat available. Thanks

Hello,

Please can you disable WiFi Optimisation for my FAST5364 3.00. I would prefer to manually select the channel so that I can avoid overlapping with my main wifi access point.

Thanks,

Jack.

PING PING PING ------ Less than 7ms ping is needed-------- Help

$

The point is that I have a ping of about 7ms (for me only ping counts because I'm a player) and Talk Talk wants me to take a bigger and more expensive package, supposedly a special package for players, Avg. 145Mb / s download speed which is obviously more expensive. Now I have a cheaper one Avg. 67Mb / s download speed and ping 7ms (but I would like to have a ping less than 7ms of course) The question is if I change the package to the more expensive, faster Avg. 145Mb / s download speed, will the ping improve and be less than 7ms or will the download and upload speed only change for the better and ping will stay the same 7ms? Thank you very much in advance for your answers. Merry Christmas .

Disconnects and Wifi hops channel selected

$

Up until a few months ago I had a solid 37Mbps connection for several years.

Post the repair of cabling fault connecting us to our local fibre hub we are running at around 30Mbps (which is adequate for our needs). However I am now regularly getting brief disconnects and which occasionally cause problems when streaming and also a few periods when the download speed falls to less the .5Mbps.

In addition I want to use Wifi channel 11 due to nearby interference. It stays on channel 11 for some time but then switches to channel 1 on its own - seems to happen overnight?

We have the latest Sagecom 633(?) router and firmware. Online support does not seem to be available. Has anyone any suggestions?

Thanks Chris
