Hi,
Business customer here, with an HG635 router.
I recently started having problems with Wireless devices accessing the Internet. I initially thought it was an Apple problem, as it started with an Apple T V, a couple of iPhones, and an iPad; however it has since also occured on other wireless devices including a laptop and a new Tonie box (https://tonies.com).
Anyway, wireless devices are able to conect to the Wi-Fi and see devices on the local network (plus I can visit 192.168.1.1 and access the router itself), but aren't able to browse the web. Setting a manual DNS server on the device itself fixes the problem, but setting this on the router does not (for reference I've been using 208.67.222.222 and 8.8.8.8).
I've checked and it appears my router is up to date (for reference remote management is on, and current firmware version is v1.11ttb), and I;ve also tried resetting the router by leaving it unplugged for 30 minutes (as similar threads have this as a recommended step to try).
So I'm fairly certain that the problem is DNS-related, but can't for the life of me se how or why! Can anyone advise? Is it possibly a router fault?
Thanks,
Ben
