Toshiba tv

Good afternoon.

I seem to be having trouble with my Toshiba "works with Alexa" tv. I am sure when i purchased this tv back in May it worked ok but over the last few months I am getting a response from my echo dot of not being able to talk. I contacted both Amazon, Toshiba and AO whom i purchased the TV from. Amazon state no problems with my echo's. Toshiba gave me a method to re-set my TV and AO managed to get Toshiba to send me an update for the TV. None seem to work. If i turn off the TV at the mains it works for around a day. After the update and also the factory re-set it lasted 2 to 3 days before getting the message "tv isn't responding, Please check its network connection and power supply" 

Today I have been into my router and find if I hover over the Toshiba TV ethernet symbol it shows "Lease time: with a decreasing time from 23 hours 59 minutes... I think this may be the problem whereby it disconnects  every 24 hours and the echo cannot reconnect. 

Could i be correct and if so how do i make the lease time to several years.???

All help appreciated.

Router stand broken!

Hi there

 

My router's stand has broken on one side and won't click back. 

 

Could I please get the replacement? 

 

The router is not damaged but is impossible to put the stand part back in.

DNS issues with router

Hi, as others probable have, my FAST 5364-3.T8 router has started having issues with DNS drop out, only way to rectify is to re-boot the router (or start a VPN), I believe this is the firmware at fault (SG4K10002816t), router has worked perfectly up until recently when no connection via laptop (fire tv all ok) and you are able to regain connection if you use a VPN or re-boot the router.

Is the firmware going to be rolled back (as not fit for purpose) or can the router be replaced.

Repeated broadband disconnects

Hi,

since yesterday I have been having repeated disconnects with my broadband. Prior to this it has been rock solid and stable for several years. I spent a long time on online chat with talk talk support today and they thought after running a load of line checks that they had fixed the problem. Alas I have just been disconnected and so the problems continue. They said I could follow up with the fault call on here. 

can someone look into this for me? I am connected directly to the master socket and nothing has changed with my setup.

Set 2.4G MAC Filter to 'Allow'

List Devices to be allowed

Accept

Find I'm locked out

Access via 5G

Find Filter is set to 'Deny' so it's denying the only devices I want to allow.

I’m currently paying for the faster fibre package broadband and for some reason I’m not getting over 20 MBPS and I’m using ethernet any ideas what I can do

i am hoping a talk talk member can help and check what is happening on talk talks end of the service provided.

 

usually get about 63Mbps as of last week we have been stuck on 17-18Mbps.

 

i have updated my profile with the landline associated as i have seen in other posts.

Hello I am wondering if someone can help me in regards how to deal with TT.

Alittle History, been with TT since 2006, and I have been generally happy with the service, until the last few weeks.  All of a sudden my internet dropped out, and I couldn't connect at all, after resetting the Router a few times, I finally got it back online, and when I did, I contacted TT, and they said I had an issue, and would send BT engineer out to sort it.

Well that turned out badly, and my real issues started, a BT engineer went up the poll, which I could see from my living room, did some stuff, and promptly left.  And oh boy did they leave it in a bad state.  I had to disconnect my router, and then connect it into the engineer socket of my BT box, after much messing about gettin then after much messing about trying, and disbelief, I found out my speeds, had gone from 70mbps download/20mbps upload to 14mbps download/1mbps upload.

I have tried asking them to do "something" about it, that was 7 days ago, now I am out of contract (which I didnt realise), and I like my service, but I am left with the impression that, I can go and screw myself.  Anybody have an idea of how to deal with this customer service cos, I all I get it we are investigating, and yet, my they want there money full, so I want my full service, which I dont think is unfair.

Suddenly today my router dropped its connection and started to flash orange light. WiFi is fine. Tried main socket, new cable, new filter, and old router but all with same issue. Please help

Desperate here!  The internet went down on Christmas Eve. It is about the only source of entertainment for autistic daughter.  Had a long chat with support and they came to the conclusion that a new router was needed. This will take a few days and I am not convinced it will solve the problem. 

The router reports connection to VDSL but there is no internet connection for any devices.

I went through all the settings and I can't see the problem.

 

trying ping (using iphone hotspot) I can ping default gateway 92.13.176.1   but not my public IP address reported by router.

 

I managed to get another router and try that.. and the error is the same. Connected but no internet.  I tried factory reset on both routers.. and nothing.   The problem seems to be at the exchange and not in the house.  Any suggestions out there?  Thanks

Adsl instead of fibre

Moved house 0.5miles after no Internet for 3weeks we were enabled last night.

However bt engineer that attended our property advised we were only setup for adsl at thecabinet 150-200metres down the road from our property.

Sure enough checked speed and we are only getting 6.2mbs and are paying for fibre. We got 34mbs at previous property.

Please rectify. 

The service check in our account says there is a fault but loops back to same page. 

Connected but no internet!

So our Internet went down Christmas Eve morning, it shows that the broadband is available but no Internet. I've tried all the usual checking wires, checking phone sockets, rebooting etc. But not technologically savvy enough to do much more. Getting very frustrated, could anyone advise? 

I've just paid an outstanding balance of 60.50 and my services hasn't been reinstated but the money

Also I've had to register a new email address to access talktalk community because it wouldn't let me log in even with changing my password, is there a way to delete old accounts or help me access them please. 

Dashboard says 1 wireless connection but there are no connected devices in my home

Under My Devices it said there were 2 wireless connections and 1 wired connection. There is only 1 phone connected via wifi, and my desktop via cable. I deactivated my phone's wifi, refreshed the dashboard, and sure enough the wireless connections dropped to 1. This means my router thinks there is still 1 device connected via wifi but there are none in my home.

 

Does this mean a neighbour could be connected to my wifi? Or is there another explanation?

 

Edit: I ran Angry IP Scanner to see what it picked up and it will pick up my phone and router but shows nothing for the IP address being displayed as connected under My Devices.

Hi

First of all Merry Christmas guys.......

I moved addresses and signed up for fast broadband ,at that time this site https://www.broadbandchecker.btwholesale.com/#/ADSL/AddressFeatureProduct  said fibre wasn't available to me checking other ISPs that was confirmed.

 

However now the cabinet is enabled and other providers are offering fibre....yet TT are saying it's still unavailable to me could someone clarify please .

Is it because TT has no capacity left there ?

Hi, I have a 2nd home that I rent out and want to get Talk Talk installed. I can't do this as there's no option to add another package to the account and I cant set up form scratch as I cant use the same email address

 

Please Help

Use Bt router for TalkTalk broadband.

I am waiting for the delivery of talktalk router and tv equipment, I go live on 29th December, don’t expect to have the equipment by then, can I use my existing Bt router for broadband fibre 65.Any advice please.
