I have several connected devices via wired connections.  Every couple of days they seem to lose this connection and have to reset the router to bring it back.

all of these devices were working fine/staying connected perfectly with my previous router.

Extending Service to Annex on a different Electric Distribution Board

Hi there I am a newbie, my superfast Fibre Broadband goes live on the 14th, I am currently on a ADSL connection and my router is situated in the granny flat connected via the phone line, when the new router is installed it will be in the house connected to the master socket about 100m away from the granny flat, It will be VERY difficult to get an ethernet cable across the garden to connect a switch or WAP, I need a Wi Fi and Wired service in the annex/Granny Flat as  my youview box, CCTV etc runs on wired connections. A powerline extender would have been ideal but the properties run on different distribution boards, I have been told by a couple of sources that they need to be on the same DB, I was looking at Devolo or TP link products, any sugestions would be greatly appreciated, I can't be stuck without a connection in the granny flat. Please help

My internet keeps cutting off, the router keeps resetting itself. Iv tried talking with customer service but they keep putting phone down which is annoying.

I read other posts where you increased the "DB". Can you increase mine or fix my issue. This has been happening for 3 days now. The router resets about every 20 mins.

Power & broadband are stable green.

Internet, wireless & ethernet are all flashing green.

When the router automatically resets all lights go off then power green broadband green internet red. Then all back to the above.

Thanks

Huawei HG633 resetting whilst streaming

Hi,

We have recently upgraded to fibre and are having issues with streaming programs through our PS4. We have the Huawei HG633. When streaming a program through TV from Sky or All4 etc it will stop during the program. The router will lose all lights on it and then slowly turn back on as if it had been turned off. This happens every time something is streamed and multiple times if we bother to carry on.

I have spoke to the online chat team who advided on seperating 2.4ghz and 5ghz channels by renaming the 5ghz SSID. I have tried both channels and the problem persists. We were getting 36-37Mbps speed prior to the splitting of the 2.4 and 5 ghz. The PS4 is around 2m max away from router and connected wirelessly. Tech team report no line fault.

Can someone advise on a solution to this issue. It looks very common based on a quick check of the forums. Thank you.

Connection running at a third of possible line speed

I've supposedly got the higher speed fibre package but at the moment I'm lucky to get 35mbps from my connection.

Previously with BT Infinity I had download rates of 74mbps, so there isn't a problem with the line.

I've also had the broadband connection drop out several times as the router seems to keep rebooting itself every few days. Can someone on the team investigate please? At the moment I am being overcharged for the service provided which is failing to meet the minimum guaranteed standard.

Round about the end of december / early January my router (HG-633) got a firmware update to 1.21t and ever since then my connection has been dropping 1-2 times an hour and the sync speeds have decreased drastically ( From 39,999 down and 2000 up to 4703 down and 799 up) and I was wondering if you could roll back my firmware to the one i had before ( I think it was 1.18t).

Hello TalkTalk team,

My wireless conenction on the HG633 router is a nightware (60% error rate and contnual dropouts).  Reading all the forums, the solution appears to be to rollback to firmware version  firmware 1.16t,.  Can you help me get this version please?

Relocation of router

$

We recently renewed out TalkTalk contract which includes Phone, Fibre Broadband and TV. The new connection has the router connected directly to the phone socket and also to the TV box. The kit came with a short phone cable to connect the router to the BT Openreach phone box. Is it possible to use a longer phone connection between the router and the BT opereach phone box so as to relocate the router as I cannot get an Ethernet cable long enough to reach the router from the TV box. Connection Speed Seems to have dropped

The speed at which my wireless devices are working seems to have dropped, it is increasingly difficult to stream from YouTube and pictures are not loading on pages such as facebook.

I have rebooted the router and access points in case these were the issue but things have not improved.

It may be that I need to change the access points, but before I do that I want to eliminate the TalkTalk router and the line quality.

Looking at the status on the router (HG635) I can see the following statistics. Can someone confirm if these results are within acceptable ranges?

Internet Connection

Many thanks for your help.
