My wifi connection with my fibre broadband recently started to drop over the past couple weeks. After speaking to the technical team they managed to get my wifi working downstairs but as soon as I go upstairs the wifi connection stops working. Before this problem started my wifi connection was great anywhere in the house and has been for the past two years. The technical team have got me to change wireless channels for the hg533 router that I have. Can anyone suggest anything else I can try as every advisor gets me to do more or less the same thing but there's still no change to the wifi upstairs. Thanks

If you're an existing TalkTalk customer you can set this up straight away as the router will work with your current Internet connection
I think my old router may be faulty so I would want the super router in place before fibre go live day so that when the engineer connects at the cabinet he will get a clean connection to a new router.
I see no good reason not to install the super router but Talktalk chat operator says it will not work. I think this is incorrect and point to their own website info but still I have the email to tell me different.
PS No wiring / faceplate change happening in the house

New Customer - ERROR_NO_CARRIER - Constant Intermittent Sync

Posting this on behalf of my parent in laws, they just switched from Sky yesterday bringing their phone and Broadband services over to TalkTalk. They decided to take out the TalkTalk Fibre package (40/2) and the service was migrated yesterday and apparantly completed.
Since then the WAN connection is constantly dropping and resyncing. I am posting on their behalf as I work in IT and have a good understanding so please don't suggest its my devices or other really basic things! They have been with SKY for years and never had any faults, but something appears to have gone wrong in the process.

I've recently just switched over to fibre optic, i've spoken to talk talk over the phone and they don't seem to be doing anything to help the slow speeds.
Currently I can only connect 2 devices before it is so slow i can't use it at all.

Hi broadband speed has been pretty poor the last few days, particularly during the day. I work from home so speed of below 3mbps is very disappointing. I got upgraded to fibre yesterday after having BB with TT for about a year (no problems at all) but ever since they upgraded me to fibre yesterday I've not had any Internet connection what so ever...
I've got a microfilter that I've changed with no luck.
Tried the test socket but no luck
Even changed the router to an old version I had and that didn't help the problem.
I spoke on Web chat with an advisor and they didn't report any fault in the line....
So any suggestions...

I've now got to wait until 6th of March for an engineer visit with no broadband and no TV

fibre speed down
My fibre speed has dropped significantly in the last week or so, from 36 ish to 14. I spoke to a bt enigneer who was in my village and he told me there was a problem with 100 or so connections in the cabinet and mine is probably one.
Can you test it and fix it? I don't see the point in paying for fibre speed if you don't get it.

Fibre Large: Static IP on Non-TalkTalk Router?
Currently turned my HG633 into a "Modem" for my new NetGear R7800 X4S
As it stands, I no longer have a Static IP as I did on my HG633 as standard, and any attempt to "emulate" the same connection settings ends in a DNS and IP error.
How would one configure the R7800 to correctly use a static IP?

Fast Fibre Getting Slower By The Day

So my son realised our fibre broadband was running slowly contacted tech (17/2/17) after taking an hour to do all their tests he said there was, they sent an engineer 19/2/17 INC000014745150. So the engineer came (at the wrong time luckily someone was in) he said there was a problem with the line i would need a bt engineer, should be in contact within 48hrs, ok i thought. So i waited till 22/2/17 then phoned no engineer had been or contacted me im so sorry i will ask for engineer now should be 48hrs (where have i heard that before) INC000014769863. So i called 48hrs later where the gentleman took me through all the tests i had on 17/2/17 to say i need an engineer. Really just need to know how long this will take i just get fobbed off then no engineer visits i understand it may be an outside visit but i get no feedback at all just a shitty internet speed thats 15x slower than it was and is getting slower every day.
Fibre down from 70Mb to 40Mb

I had a steady 70Mb download speed since upgrading to the Fibre Speed Boost last year.
Yesterday during the storm Doris gales the internet went down for the first time ever.
When I got back from work last night it was back up but the download speed was reduced to 40Mb
I restarted the router a few times but still I cant get more than 40Mb download, upload speed is unaffected and still at 20Mb
Speed tests were all done wired on my main PC and an old laptop in safe mode with networking and everything else disconnected.
I have a master socket with built in filter installed by a TalkTalk engineer 2 years ago, phone was unplugged, no extensions.
Phone dial tone sounds fine with no crackling.
I'm using my own TP-Link N600 router.
I know I should probably dig out the old TalkTalk router but are there any line tests you can do first?
Also can you check I am still on 76Mb profile and have not been switched by mistake back onto the 38Mb
Also I have 2 old TalkTalk routers and its not obvious which is for fibre and which is the old adsl router I used ages ago. How do I tell?

a week ago i kept losing my internet connection..and a tech agent at talktalk changed my wifi channel to auto.....
it seemed to cure the issue
however since yesterday the fault has come yet again
been on chat to speak to advisor ..they said they were doing line tests and then ring me back with remedy...but as usual i lost internet during chat
im at the end of my tether now ...fed up ..
