Hi,
Yesterday my long awaited engineer arrived, but he was unable to get my internet connected.
Because i live in a block of flats, I provided him access to the blocks internal distribution point, when he got back he said that he had bad news, that he wouldnt be able to get the internet up and running today due to some technical difficulty ( something to do with wires that have been disconnected, not sure what he was talking about).
Anyway he told me that another engineer would come and sort this problem out and I didnt even need to give him access to my flat, that I would just have to wait and the internet would be up and running soon.
I havent received any call or email confirming this yet and my online account says I have missed my engineer appointment which I have not.
Any advice on what I need to do or has anyone been in a similar situation.
Ill be giving talktalk a call tomorrow afternoon but hopefully this can be resolved before then.
Hi could you push an update for the 635 to me many thanks.
Hi i ordered the faster fibre package and it told me an engineer is not needed, but i dont have a bt openreach box and have never had the fibre cable installed, we just have the old copper bt line.
Another question i have is when i ordered it told me my go live date was 16th of November but the next day when i logged on is said its 21st and now i have a letter saying the same date, but iv had a letter from bt and sky saying there services will end on the 16th so will i have to go 6 days without phone or internet? Thank You.
Hi,
We have fibre broadband and since moving home it has been so unstable its untrue, from constant drops (red internet lights) and slower and slower speeds.
Currently on 1295/7895 link rate, should be getting 30-40MB! (see attached)
Phoned tech help and they do a line test, what a surprise, no faults detected. It dropped 2 hours ago, so if a tech team sees this post it proves that there is a problem they are not detecting. Unfortunately it is hard to tell this to card readers.
The router we have is DLINK 3782 and was fine at the last property, but tech help dont seem to understand and still ask how i am connecting, wired or wireless!! No the problem is the service.
Not sure what to do now, im tied for 24 months so cant go with anyone else and frustrated that TT are not acting on it.
Any help is appreciated
I have TT fibre now since my cabinet went live a number of years ago. I have a well constructed configuration using an HG635? (the earlier gigabit one) into the master socket in bridge mode in the loft then connected via homeplugs to my Netgear D7000 in the centre of my home. My download speed is ~20Mbps which I believe is the maximum achievable since I am about 1 Km from the cabinet as the crow flies (copper length must be a little more). I am just wondering whether there is any technology on the horizon that would give me a faster line, or whether my only (albeit forlorn) hope is of VM digging up the road to provide their fibre?
i had a replacement router from a hg633 to a DSL3782 due to connection issuies but since ive had new router my speeds have halved from 30 + mb to 17mb ? my contract is Faster Fibre ive done everything my side checked everything etc im not getting what i paid for any help please
Hi, i upgraded to fibre fast broadband a few months ago, my internet speeds went up from around 4mbps to 20. Now its gone to 3 at the highest. Can this be resolved?
Thanks.
Hi
Does my HG635 super router need an update? I'm on software version 1.06t at the moment.
Thank you
Andy
I'm having issues with the latest firmware on my HG633 router.
Mutiple times a day I stop being able to access the router, either using wifi or connecting directly via ethernet cable.
When this happens I can't even access the router home page at http://192.168.1.1
As soon as I re-start the router the problem goes away and I'm able to reconnect.
Can I ask for the update to be pushed to my router please? I hear it resolves some Wi-Fi issues.
Hi!
As per title.
08/11/17 afternoon. Internet indicator turned to solid red. Broadband and wireless indicators are solid green. Huawei HG633 router. No dial tone on the phone.
So far.
Tried master socket, no luck.
Contacted web chat customer services. As I remember they tried some line tests which were ok according to them. Then asked me to turn off the router for 30 mins so they can do some "line reset" and come back if still no luck. As you could guess....
Have been reading some amount of topics in this matter, some solved, some probably have no time to say it's been solved. However. Can anyone have a look at this issue please?
Everything is still connected as it was and running in the hope for the indicator to turn green!
Thank you in advance!
Can anyone help?!
I need to have my BT master socket moved AND the outside drop cable needs to be relocated - This is to move the existing master socket from the hallway to the lounge...... I DO NOT want an extension from the original master socket to the new location.
I have previously booked an engineer. Bright Sparks arrived who confirmed they cannot move the drop cable (or any external cables). I called Talktalk again gave them full details that it MUST be a BT Openreach engineer to perform the work..... Again a Bright Sparks engineer turned up and confirmed they couldn't move it. (They even had on their notes that it needed to be a BT Openreach engineer!)
I called Talktalk again; They said they'd call me back with an Openreach appointment - this never happeded.
I called Talktalk again who this time said I must call BT Openreach directly and book directly. I referred them to the the link on Talktalks website : https://help2.talktalk.co.uk/what-are-master-sockets but he said he couldn't open the link and that this "advise" was not valid.....
Anyone have any idea how i casn get my master socket relocated??
Can you upgrade my firmware please. I am currently on 1.15t and Superfibre max speed is 50Mbps.
Need help i am unable to play online gaming due to lag and high ping. I was hoping the issue would sort its self out but its now been 2 months with the same issue. Nothing should of changed with my connection.
My DSL3782 router synchs at 58Mbps and an ethernet cabled PC speedtest gives 53Mpbs which is fine. I have an Apple Airport Extreme in bridge mode fed by a 15m cat6 cable - this also delivers around 53Mpbs when tested via WiFi with an iPhone SE right next to it.
However the DSL3782 router is regularly only delivering between 25 and 35Mpbs via WiFi again tested with an Iphone SE right next to it.
The routers are set with the same SSID and password - they are on different channels and I've checked there is no interference from other routers. I have reset the router with no difference.
Its not a major headache for me as the Apple router is carrying most of my WiFi traffic in the house and the cabled speeds are fine, but does anyone have any ideas why the DSL3782 should be delivering such a reduced WiFi speed?
Currently on V1.06t and understand that V1.10t is now available?
Thanks.
Hi there

Many thanks

Hi, could I get the new firmware update for the HG633 please? Requested in another old thread of mine a few days ago but haven't had a response.
