Hi - my broadband seems to work fine when on ethernet but wifi keeps dropping out. This is especially bad when I'm working from home on a remote desktop which is pretty much unusable. I have the HG633 and it updates firmware automatically. Is there anything you can do to solve this please? Thank you. Simon.

TalkTalk Speed Checker Not Working
I'm experiencing slow speeds and did a speed check on TT's own speed checker which showed speeds 18-20 and upload below 3. However, the checker did appear to be sort of stuttering and not working properly. I went on to 2 more sites which gave me a much faster speed etc Any explanations or help appreciated.
Upgraded fibre to 76mb, still getting half of that.
Basically i upgraded my fibre to faster one (76mb) in march. Almost month later and i still getting 38mb. Nothing changed like i was promised. Noticed also when i making international call my brodband go dead for the time when phone is in use. That is minor problem compared to that speed. Went on chat and no help. Today i called talktalk, wasted 60min and on the end i was told that is my max speed. RUBBISH! Tomorrow im callig Virgin ang swithing to them.
Fibre half speed
Hi guys,
I'm on fibre large and currently get 80/20mb to my router.
My usual speed test average 74mb up / 18mb down, over wired connection and usually solid as a rock.
Over the past couple of week or so mainly using Speedtest.net, although i have tried other tests from various websites, the average speeds are 43mb down / 18mb up.
some sites do test at the 70mb mark but majority are in the 40's.
now i also tried BT wholesale test website and that come back at around 150mb sometimes 200.
Any TT people to take a look at this for me.
thanks.
Changing IP address on Super Router ?
Any ideas how to do this?
I have tried switching off router overnight but the same address remains. I switched off by the switch on the side though and not by the plug, should I pull the plug out next time?
Poor speeds
Hi .
I think im getting very poor speeds for having a speed boost in only getting 25" is there anyway to get this to the speed that was promised ?
Incredibly slow service, and Absolute Liars about repair
My fibre service has slowed from around 36/37Mb speed down to as low as 2.5mb, upload remains a healthy 10mb. I can't hardly use my film/tv streaming services, and my son's can't use their gaming services.
I Complained, TT sent their engineer out - couldn't understand why service is so slow, claimed they booked engineer from Openreach for Friday 13th April - I waited in heard nothing. Contacted TT around 1:30pm who said Openreach had been and said there was nothing wrong.
I got in touch with Openreach directly who have told me that no engineers have been to my property to repair or fix my lines - so TalkTalk have lied directly to a customer who is paying for a service and not getting that service?
Come on TT and your OCE's - please comment on why this is happening, slow speeds and no / fake repair claims?
Very slow fibre broadband speed
I went live last Monday 9th April 2018 and speeds were very slow, instead of 78 Mb I was getting 35 mb, phoned up to complain on Tuesday and was on the phone to South Africa for 45 minutes, was told maybe a problem with my bt master socket and it was passed onto technical management and would be fixed within 72 hours, waited until Friday and phoned again and was told it was still been investigated, told them if it wasn't fixed asap I would cancel my contract. Received an email bill asking for a payment on Saturday, i am not paying this because I am not getting what I was promised. Did live chat on Friday Saturday and Sunday and was again told it's been investigated, told them if not fixed today I am going to throw the router in the bin!!! Absolute shocking customer service, I can't understand what the people on the phone are saying when I call up. Can anyone on here please help before I smash this cheap pathetic huawei hg633 up!!
No Broadband
My broadband is off again, it was working fine this morning, came back and red internet light was on. Broadband light was green. Now I have no internet or broadband light on. Modem is a DSL 3782. Can someone look in to it please?
Slower since fibre boost added....
Hi,
Bit of an odd one, I just got me speed boost added and the Max Rate(kbps) has gone from around 41,000 to 39,000 - very odd.
I have tried a router reboot to see if that helped, but not as of yet.
I'm hoping that its just learning anew but I guess time will tell.
Thanks
Can I expect anymore speed from a fibre speed boost?
Contract ends in a few days. Currently on 38mb but I'm only getting between 21 and 26mb which the TT people say is acceptable. (I used to get just over 30 - they've done the checks and say everything is as good as it can be) Virgin cabled my street a few months ago and can offer 100mb for £29. The best TT retentions can do is £27.50 for line rental and 76mb BB but I'm concerned that I won't get much more than I'm already getting. A check with BT indicates that I should expect between 33.6 and 47.9 on 76mb and between 39.8 and 22.4 on 38mb. I'm thinking for a few quid more I'd be better off giving Virgin a go.
Speed dropped 20mbps from BT to TT
Just switched from BT's like for like package (Infinity 2) to TT's Faster Fibre with Speed Boost.
Whilst looking at my router stats my sync speed is at 60mbps whilst before on BT it was up at 80mbps. Upload no change. My line is capable of 80094down 25490up as on BT.
Stats from TT router.

Security Questions - NCSC statement network devices
Hi, Talktalk,
Any comments in relation to Joint statement by NCSC and American agencies, mentioned on Channel 4 news tonight around 7.40 ish, on attacks to home routers and similar equipment mentioned this evening? I think this is a link to the notice that they were on about, couldn't find anything on the NCSC alerts or twitter.
https://www.us-cert.gov/ncas/alerts/TA18-106A
I acknowledge that you don't have some of the services mentioned, and it also mentioned some cisco routers too, however would appreciate anything you can say publically about it.
Thanks
Stuart
New website not working on home TalkTalk connection
Hi, I purchased and hosted a domain last night. It's all working fine, except on my home TalkTalk connection. It works fine for other people, on my work internet and on my phones 4g, but shows a "website coming soon!" page on my laptop and PC and on my mobile on home WiFi it shows "This site can't be reached" ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT.
I have tried on 3 different browsers and it won't work on any of them, reset cache, flushed DNS etc.
Is it common for TalkTalk to block access to new sites? The domain is from godaddy and hosted on siteground.
Thanks for any help.
Need updated firmware for HG633.
I am currently running V1.08 on my router and need a firmware update pushed through since I am missing many options.
Why is TalkTalk blocking IPTV services???
Hi there,
Few weeks ago I've bought myself a new smart TV. I did get a subscription for IPTV and started to watch it using a Smart IPTV app on my TV. It was all working fine but suddenly stopped. Nothing works when I'm using my TalkTalk wifi, but when I create a hotspot from my iPhone and connect TV to it, IPTV works perfect. Clearly TalkTalk is blocking my access to some services!!! Anyone experiencing similar issues? I was trying to explain it to a guy from TalkTalk customer services but his English was so poor that I gave up after 15 minutes. Ridiculous!!!
Overhead phone cable torn from house - does free installation cover this?
Many years ago the phone line connecting from the pole to the house was torn down by the council working on the roof. If I apply for broadband with TalkTalk will repair be covered by the free installation or will there be a charge, and if so how much?
Thanks
