Internet disconnects

Hi there,

 I’m having problem with internet connection. It disconnects every 15 minutes everyday at anytime. It’s been a month now that is going on like this. I tried to reach the customer service via chat but they couldn’t help. They said someone is supposed to call me back but I’m still waiting for that call. So I decided to call but spoke with automatic voice and they hung up the call. I’m really disappointed about this service 


Starting to get really fed up, can i have some help please regarding fibre and speed boost

Hi there im hoping to speak with a direct talk talk rep

 

We have had fibre now for maybe a little over a month at first the speeds were ok about 37 down and 7 up 

 

with my grandson wanting to stream his gaming we talked with a manager and got the boost at discounted price of 2.50 a month extra, so we went ahead and upgraded to fibre boost but then infact our speeds went down ?????

 

we have had a new router sent out 

 

yesterday we had an engineer here from talk talk to put in a new socket and when she was doing all the checks it shown to her that even tho we have the fibre boost she shown me that infact its not even activated, she logged all this on our account and well ive tried to get through to someone about this and they say its showing on the account so nothing can be done

 

surely it may be showing on the account yes but not physically activated am I right? I doubt the engineer would show me something that wasn't true as I saw that it was not activated myself

 

anyway I want someone if they can to look into this for us we have been going round in circles for over a month now and tbh im looking to close the account as we are not getting what we are supposed to be

Hello,

 

I signed up to TalkTalk faster fibre in June, and followed a Gift Cloud link through cable.co.uk that included an Amazon £50.00 gift card providing I subscribed to TalkTalk before 13/06/2019.

 

I signed up on same day (07/06/2019) and my service activated on 19/06/2019. 

 

I was told to wait 90 days for the voucher, yet nothing has arrived. My mother passed away on 04/09/2019, which is why I have not chased this up until now.

 

Please let me know what I need to do to receive my voucher, which is very long over due.

Broadband Speed

When I first got my Fast Fibre I was getting 65-70Mb/s.

 

Progressively this has fallen to 45Mb/s, over Christmas 40Mb/s.

 

5th chat in a year with tech support, lasting over 2 hours.

 

Outcome reboot router and contact then in 48 hours if nothing has changed.

 

After 20 years I have now had enough will they let me leave without penalty?

Have low broadband speeds (down and upload). Tried testing via Talktalk's and continually says they have issues with a server and cannot do it.

 

Tried online support to Nosipho. Who could not help other than to say I have to wait 30 days to see if they could resolve issue and no answer why their testing speed page does not work and cut off chat.

 

Has been this way for over a week. Just terrible customer service.

Hi, i have my net since 26 of November,  and since i turn it on.. doesn't  work,  there websites i can see, there pages doesn't  open.. there is androids there does connect  with the wifi because is to low.... i have talk with 20 or so people of customer  service.. and they are rude and they dont help me.. they turn of he chat  and stop answering me... i just feel  like cancelling... because i am paying for something  that doesn't  work.. i have to use my 4G...  i done all the thing they ask me.. change  the channels everything  nothing  works..  please van anyone  help me. Is possible  is from the router.. because i can catch my neighbour's  but i cant catch  my wifi

Renewed fibre contract with ‘fibre speed boost’

Hi all,

I recently renewed my faster fibre contract with added ‘fibre speed boost‘ (9/1/20). New router (Sagemcom) installed & up & running but the upload/download speeds are identical to pre-renewal (38Mb down, 10Mb up). 

The order acceptance email gives a minimum speed of 61.4Mb down & 17Mb up. 

I am guessing that the speed boost hasn’t been applied to my line yet ?

 

Can an OCE have a look & see if this is the case & advise please.

Faster Fibre Router not arrived - Go live 13/01 ??

Hi Everyone,

 

Can anybody possibly help?

 

My upgrade from Normal broadband to Faster Fibre is due to go live tomorrow (13/01) and I am still yet to receive my new Router for this? Under track my order nothing is displayed and I have received no updates yet so I believe the router is still yet to be dispatched. How do I escalate this, as without the router I cannot go live for the faster fibre?

 

Please can an OCE respond, Thank you greatly in advance.

 

(I have ensured I have the correct contact details.)

Trying to find out why my fibre speed has dropped to 43mbps since November, I have spoken to Live chat on three occasions (each time a different bod) gone through all the checks, had a new router delivered as they suspect that was the issue, have the new all singing and dancing one, ran a service status check (which is currently out of action) and it said I wasn’t getting the expected speed, package is the 56-76mbps with a boost so not even hitting the lowest expected speed now.

 

Looking at the router stats it says line up 2d 21hrs.... suspect the line is dropping out for whatever reason which I am guessing is why the router was swapped out in the first place....

 

Have checked the BT ASDL checker which states line should get between 62-80……….. any ideas as given up with the live chat as just going round in circles

As the the title broadband stops each Sunday at 12 till 1. 


seeing as the connection test state everything is fine, I’m going to assume it’s a dns error on talk talks side. And looking at the 100s of post with the same thing.

 

what needs to be done to fix this *@#][!![]'#[@#]!*?

Hi I have waited the three month period and still can’t get super fast activated our connection speed it synced at 40mbs at router should be 67 ??? Thanks mah not this again lol 

Fibre Speed after Power Cuts

Hi

I recently received a new WI-Fi Hub and after setting it up the connection speed was lower that with my previous router. The DLM didn't improve the speed even though it was connected for quite a while. A short while ago there was a power cut in the area for a matter of seconds and on reconnection the router connection had jumped by 10 MB. This has remained rock steady until yesterday when I had to turn off the power because of some electrical work. On reconnection the router connection has dropped by 10 MB. It is now at 43.2 MB. Is there something wrong as the service area of my account says that I'm not getting the speed that I should. I cant hear any crackles etc on my phone.

Can not connect to internet via Ethernet cable

Have recently switched to fast fibre and had new router. but it now intermittently does not connect via Ethernet, but works fine via WIFI. have cctv and tv via Ethernet and neither work. so there can not be fault with both. If i restart router, they both work again. Rang talktalk, one and a half hours later and they still never understood, just kept telling me the line was ok and you are connected to internet. i knew all that. only after i said i`m leaving their service and would contact the CEO. Mrs Harrison did they offer me a new router, but still wanted to send an engineer out first. its a joke. cant wait for my contract to finish. just hope new router solves problem.

Hi

wondering if anyone can assist me 

 

my internet stopped working at 01:00hrs this morning. I left if and thought it would be working this morning but no. The light flashes orange and although I can pick up my router on my iPad etc settings it won’t connect 

 

I used the online chat. They said my line was fine and was a micro filter. I don’t use them as I have the pre filtered open reach MK3 box. I did however try with micro filters and that made no difference

 

Tried using the master socket behind the face panel in the MK3 but nothing. Have a working phone line coming in though

 

rebooted so many times I’ve lost count and reset the router using the little button but nothing 

 

called and spoke to someone in the phone. This time they say it’s the router and are apparently sending one out

 

does anyone have any ideas or could it actually be the router?

My router keeps disconnecting from the internet when the phone rings. 

 

I've tried multiple microfilters and it's connected to the master socket. 

The line test tool shows there is a problem. What are the best next step steps to take?

Hi! Please help my router has gone down and ive had the same one for as long as i can remember! Iv been with you lovely people since 6+ Years and desperately need a new router sent out nothing but trouble with the very very old one I currently have 😫 thanks!!

Hi,

 

Over the last few weeks my download speed has been dropping.  My download speed with the Speed Boost should be between 60-80mbps and upload speed should be 20mbps.

The attached screengrabs show my wifi download speed ranges from 2.79-33mbps & upload speed hovering around 10mbps and ethernet connected speed at 8.91mbps download and 9.77 download.

The router is new and was installed late last year.  I've restarted it multiple times but that has solved nothing.

I can't go through dealing with the live chat option again.

Could you please help.

Hi there,

there have been quite a lot of disconnects from the internet today so I thought I’d check the service status. This has shown up in the stability check. Any ideas?
