Netis DL4422 VDSL2 Router/Modem.

I have the medium fibre package from TalkTalk and am getting all that was promised i.e. 2 Mb upload, and 37.4 Mb download. In the event of a problem I'm able to substitute my computer, phone, wiring, but not my Router/Modem, and as an erroneous callout to OpenReach costs £65, I thought it was well worth getting a substitute Router/Modem. I purchased brand-new the model in the subject line for just £37, which I thought was pretty good for a VDSL2 type. All the relevant LEDs light up including the Internet one, and in the router's web management page it tells me that my upstream and downstream line rates are exactly as does my TalkTalk Super Router, however, try as I may I cannot get on to the Internet with it. I've had a good search on the forum and have come up with various entries for non-standard routers, but no mention of Netis. You can probably tell from my terminology that I don't know much about the subject.

 

So first off, will a Netis router work with TalkTalk, and if so can anyone suggest a configuration to me that will work.

Newbie router problem

We went live on fiber Tuesday and not had a decent signal since we started.

Can anybody tell me what lights should be on permanently and what should be flashing?

At moment I have power & broadband permanently internet,wireless & Ethernet flashing. But signal keeps going off 

 

Modem model is HG33

HG633 firmware upgrade to 1.16T or later required

Hi,

 

Please may I request an upgrade of my router firmware to 1.16t or the latest available please? I need this urgently to resolve the VPN issues introduced by my switch to TT using this router. Everything worked fine through EE using their router.

"error" calls are annoying

I think ive mentioned these before but they are a daily nuisance at the moment. Some indian calls and tells me they're from talktalk and that my router is sending messages to them about an error. Fact is now if any indian calls claiming to represent talktalk im going to hang up. If anyone from talktalk has called me legit and been chewed out by me then my apologies but i doubt this is the case. The even called my grandad who is 87 and neither has a computer or is a talktalk customer, the got some cheek thes people.

My fibre broadband went live on 23/2/16, the email I received prior to this gauranteed my minimum speed as 30mb, with a download speed of 39-40mb.

After numerous checks my speed is consistently below 20mb and often down around 10mb.

 

They also claimed in the email that ththey would "gradually adjust the speed to get it as fast as possible", well, if this is actually being done it is not going very well.

 

Has anyone else experienced this lack of so called "gauranteed" service, and what was done about it?

Hi, I've only been with talktalk for about a month and can't get a normal upload speed, I can't email or upload any photos at all.  Just did a test and its saying upload speed 592 Kbytes/s.  I have spoken to the call centre and they sent out openreach to check the line and said it was fine but it hasn't sorted the probelm out.  Any ideas? Help please talktalk!

HG635 router not working on 2.4GHz

Hi Talktalk

My HG635 router has been suffering from an intermittant loss of signal and problems connecting 2.4GHz devices.

I'm really computer savvy and I've done resets, isolating devies putting them closer and further away from the router but to no avail even though the 5GHz and ethernet connected devices are all working fine.

Can you help, I've put up with this problem for over 3 weeks and I don't want to have to buy a new printer and ipad just to get an internet connection.

Can any community stars or OCE's please help?

Fibre router stops streaming after 30 mins or 1800 seconds. Please help

hi all. On my previous ADSL router I changed a setting on the router so I could stream shows from my Mac to PS4 as it kept stopping after 30 minutes. 

Now ive upgraded to fibre it's doing it again but this time talktalk can't help, I even had an engineer here today and he didn't know!

ive tried several servers and they all do the same, 30 mins in it stops so I know it's a router setting. I just think it's crazy I can't watch anything for long without having to turn it off and back on again. 

Can anyone please help???

Fibre Speed dropping?

Hey guys/gals. 

 

I've noticed in the past couple of months that my internet speeds have been dropping significantly. Sometimes to 10Mb (currently on the 78Mb speed package). I can always see on my line stats that effectively 80mb and 20mb are getting through to my line, but none of my devices seem to get high speeds anymore. Recently I've even been struggling to watch twitch/youtube streams/videos with having to wait for them to buffer or pause when playing. Is there anything that you're able to do to my profile to see if it can help out?

I know i'm supposed 10 days with new fibre but all forums say that the speed won't improve during this period. I am getting a download speed of 20 mbs but was estimated at 40. I'm not far from the cabinet and previously got 8plus before changing to fibre. Obviously this is not what i'm hoping for. Any suggestions?

Hello i was wondering if I could get some help, I have the medium package fiber package and the service is great but quite recently for about 2-3 weeks my download speed has gone from my expected 30+ to 10-17 download speeds and this is everyday it hasn't returned back to its download speed but the upload speed is untouched.

I was wondering if I could get a replacement for my router as this happened before and the router was at fault and after receiving a replacement the problem was gone I have contacted TalkTalk but nothing seems to be done and it can incredibly frustrating paying that extra to get faster download speeds and for it to be like this for weeks Smile

Okay, so i have a DSL-3780 and i recently decided to try and run a mcpe server on it.... So after successfully port forwarding the port for the server and checking ti using a port checker (i already set up a static ip) i tried to run my minecraft pocket edition server on it. It does not work, the server only hosts on my local network but no one else outside my wifi can access it. So after checking my port checker again it turns out that same port is now closed. I then moved the port number up by 1 to 19133 and tried again the port opened then when i try to use it closes. Does anyone have any idea why this is happening?

I upgraded from Fibre Medium to Fibre Large which was activated on Monday but my download speed hasnt improved. Im currently getting between 25 and 33 Mbps down and about 6 Mbps up. The up speed has increased (was getting about 1.9 on medium) but the down is not significantly better.

 

I realise it is only 5 days since activation, but I have seen no change over those five days at all whereas I was expecting a steady increase. Do I need to wait longer or should I be seeing an increase by now?

Line reset to adsl2 after fault

This afternoon my internet was not working. I reset the modem and eventually managed to get back online but now My speed is the same as it used to be before I switched to fibre medium a year ago. I tried to contact Talktalk helpline but could not talk with anyone as it said that my outage was being repaired (no mention of the speed issues). Can someone check if the speed issues are being addressed? How long before I can get my fibre service back to speed?
